Annalee J. Cataldo, Senior Partner, brings 30 years of experience to K&C’s Insurance Defense practice group. Ms. Cataldo is a 1989 graduate of Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law where she served on the Moot Court Board and was awarded the Jacob Burns Award for her distinction in the area of moot court advocacy. Upon graduation from law school, Ms. Cataldo joined a well-respected New York City insurance defense firm where she gained invaluable experience as an insurance defense litigator. She has since concentrated her practice defending clients in professional liability claims against architects, engineers and land surveyors and construction defect claims. Ms. Cataldo also has extensive experience defending general liability personal injury actions involving wrongful death, premises liability and violations of the New York State Labor Law. She has substantial trial experience as well as resolving matters through alternative dispute resolution including mediation and arbitration. Ms. Cataldo is recognized by New York State as a mediator and is currently a member of the Panel of Mediators for Long Island Mediation Services.
Ms. Cataldo is frequently requested to present seminars to architects, engineers and land surveyors on topics related to their practice, including lectures at Touro Law School and Polytechnic College of Brooklyn. In addition, she has authored articles related to design professionals and their practice. She formerly served as General Counsel to the New York Society of Architects, is an affiliate member of the American Council of Engineering Companies (“ACEC”), and serves as a member of ACEC’s Legal Counsel Forum.
Further, she is admitted to practice in New York, as well as the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York; and is a member of the New York State, Suffolk County and Suffolk County Women’s Bar Associations
