John Ciarelli has significant experience with real estate and business transactions.  land use, criminal and general litigation. He has represented individuals and business entities in numerous civil and criminal trials in the New York State and the Federal Courts. His experience includes trials and appellate argument in the New York State Trial Courts, Appellate Division Second Department, the New York Court of Appeals, the United States District Courts for the Eastern and Southern District, and the U. S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit John is a former Assistant District Attorney for Suffolk County, former counsel to the St. James and Smithtown Water Districts and the Smithtown Board of Zoning Appeals. He is a member of the New York State Bar Association and is a member and past president of the Suffolk County Criminal Bar Association and the Columbian Lawyers Association of Suffolk County. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Empire National Bank and the Board of Managers of the Brookhaven Roe, Patchogue Family YMCA. John received his B.A. from The State University of New York at Stony Brook and J.D. from St. John’s University School of Law.
