Julianne M. Barlizo joined the firm in 2018, bringing with her a wealth of extensive civil and commercial litigation experience. Prior to joining the K&C, Ms. Barlizo worked as a litigator handling civil tort, commercial and corporate litigation matters. She also has experience handling corporate and transactional matters for both domestic and foreign companies, as well as prior experience in trusts and estates matters. Ms. Barlizo received her Juris Doctor degree from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in 2012, with a concentration in corporate law, and was a recipient of the Dean’s Merit Scholarship. Ms. Barlizo served as a staff member of the Cardozo Public Law, Policy and Ethics Journal, and has authored two (2) articles published in New York Real Estate Law Reporter: “Mortgage’s Notice of Acceleration – Prompt Mortgage Providers of North America, LLC v. Direct Realty, LLC,” New York Real Estate Law Reporter, Vol. 28, No. 1 (November 2011); “Adverse Possession Hostility – Hogan v. Kelly,” New York Real Estate Reporter, Vol. 27, No. 12 (October 2011). Ms. Barlizo earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from New York University 2004. She is admitted to practice in New York and New Jersey, as well as the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York and before the United Stated District Court for the District of New Jersey; and is a member of the New York State and Suffolk County Bar Associations and the New York County Lawyer’s Association.
