Michael Stanton is a Partner who joined the firm in 2014. Mr. Stanton is a skilled litigator with a broad range of experience, and has successfully defended design professionals, municipalities, universities, and business entities against claims involving breach of contract, torts, and Labor Law violations. In addition to his litigation practice, Mr. Stanton is also an experienced appellate practitioner, having successfully argued before the Appellate Divisions for the First and Second Departments in cases such as Mastrobattista v. Borges, 143 A.D.3d 475 (1st Dep’t 2016), Board of Managers of the 125 North 10th Condominium v. 125 North 10th, LLC, 150 A.D.3d 1063 (2d Dep’t 2017), and Goldfien v. County of Suffolk, 157 A.D.3d 937 (2d Dep’t 2018). Mr. Stanton has also presented seminars on Cybersecurity, Data Protection, and Privacy, and is currently the inaugural chairperson of the Cybersecurity practice committee for the Suffolk County Bar Association. Mr. Stanton is a 2008 graduate of the William and Mary School of Law, where he was an award-winning member of the Moot Court team. Mr. Stanton holds a Master’s Degree in American History and is fluent in Spanish.
